SturdyI am very pleased with these plates. I was afraid they were going to be thin because they are "chip resistant." However, they are heavier than your average Walmart chip resistant plate. They're very sturdy very elegant dishes. The picture is a little off for a color but colors often vary in these kind of things. Mine has more of a teal color overall instead of as an accent as I thought from the images. I was hoping that the dark color was black or blue it appears to a midnight teal lending to the overall teal coloring. I was personally trying to accent my solid dark blue plates. It still works but not quite to the degree I had hoped. Nevertheless, they are beautiful and work well especially in a more contemporary setting where you're just using a small color accent and have a lot of whites, grays, blacks, or other neutral two neutral cold colors.I love this set so much. I am a homemaker, with 5 kids. We have had so many different styles of dishes over the years. They break they chip they are to heavy or they were plastic. I found these as I was about to just buy stainless steel plates. They are beautiful, they are not heavy ( making them easy to wash ) however they are very sturdy. My daughter dropped one on the floor last night and nothing no chip no break no cracks. Beautiful and I will buy another set for back just in case.I really like this product and I recommend it, high quality.I love these dishes! They look great and no scratches! I like the simplicity of the design. Had an issue with a few cracked bowls but the company was very responsive. However, as I was unpacking the plates, I realized they only gave me 3 of this collection and 1 that DOESN'T MATCH this set! Now, the product is listed as Unavailable.
