I ordered these to use with my better china (which has a black design on the rims), and also to use for everyday meals. I love the ruffled look of the edges, and the pattern is exquisite.The larger size is good for lasagna, casseroles, or for baking several pieces of chicken or other main courses. I think it would also work well for cakes, but I haven't tried that yet, so I don't know how easy it would be to remove the slices. That's not the reason I got them, so it doesn't worry me.I always check reviews and ratings here (thank you, Amazon) and I noticed some reviewers mentioned the smaller one was "too small" - it is indeed small, but there are plenty of uses for it, such as for sauces, celery or carrot sticks, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, or cranberry sauce. I like that it matches the larger dish, and I may even get another set if I plan meals that need that many serving pieces.Yes, I'd order these again - the pattern is gorgeous, and the pieces look more expensive than they were priced. They are dressy enough to look nice with that good china you don't use that often, and are versatile enough to be fun and interesting pieces with that "other" dinnerware you use every day.The smaller dish is much smaller than I thought it would be but they are still nice, the pain job xoul be better but it give it that handmade look if you're in to thatGot 2 sets of these with the idea to give them both away for Christmas but I loved them so have kept one set for me! Wonderfully made beautiful design best bargain I could find I just needed a loaf pan but the pair was slightly more in cost than most single loaf pans and the matched my kitchen theme so well I just had to purchase them and I am glad I did! You won't regret it. The only thing I didn't realize until I received them is they are a bit shallow but my fault there are deminsions.These are not only beautiful they are so easy to clean.Love them!I purchased this solely for the larger bake ware. I was pleasantly surprised with the smaller one because I just wasn't quite sure what I would use it for. After acquiring a recipe for blueberry bread I had my aha moment. It was perfect. This is pretty and easy to clean.Very pretty. I bought the black because it looks more modern. I'm happy with it.I tried it tonight, I made shepherd's pie. It came out nice and crispy. No sticking but I did use a spray. (PAM). Probably didn't need it. For me what really did it matched my dinnerware. The smaller one I used for vegetables. I just received it but I already know that it's going to be used a lot. :)
